I have the honor to acknowledge
the receipt of your Lordship's letter of the 8th Instant
with a copy of one from Lord Stanley of which
transcript was forwarded to me by the Earl
of Aberdeen.
Major Aldrich may be expected here almost immediately, he having reached Bombay before the "Amoryma"
which vessel came in some days ago and
sailed from that Port, and should your Lordship consider it advisable
